You can access the service by telephone, email, fax or mail. This is a free statewide service.
We have information about thousands of items of equipment on our database including:
- Scooters, wheelchairs and electric recliners
- Things to help you do household tasks (eg. cooking, washing and shopping)
- Items to make bathing, dressing and personal care easier and safer
- Office seating and ergonomics
- Specialised products for recreation and leisure
Product information includes a detailed description, suppliers and prices, and a picture.
We do not sell equipment.
Other Features of the Information Service
The ILC can advise on building modifications for access and safety.
We also have a list of hire agencies and people who are selling equipment second hand.
The display centre holds examples of many items you can buy in Tasmania. You can see or try them at the centre (please make an appointment).
