Mobile Outreach Service

Our Mobile Outreach Service (MOS) conducts talks and displays about assistive technology.

We take a range of equipment to demonstrate to community groups, anywhere in Tasmania.

MOS regularly visits all parts of Tasmania including King Island and Flinders Island with an equipment display.   If you would like MOS to visit your particular group or part of the state please contact us.

This is a free service for people all around Tasmania.

Visitors are able to discuss their individual needs with an experienced health professional (Occupational Therapist) and view and trial a wide range of equipment.  Informative brochures covering a wide range of topics are also available.  Visits are usually made to Community Centres or other venues as requested.  Bookings are preferable to ensure appropriate equipment is included.

Free individualised advice is provided on techniques and equipment to assist those living or caring for someone at home with a disability, injury or illness.

Areas of assistance include:

  • bathroom and toileting equipment
  • bedding
  • building fixtures and design for access
  • clothing and dressing
  • communication aids
